Kiss me quick!

No prizes for guessing where we have been today :-D

After a good nights sleep, we were woken by the arrival of diggers being offloaded for the start of nextdoors building works, but shouldnt grumble, it was 8.40.

Today we had booked a slot at Dunham Massey. Now the schools are back there is much more availability.......it was very quiet in the park, just perfect, didn't even have to queue for our take out coffees. Just a short wait whilst they made our egg and cress on brown, then off we went.

Plenty of fallow deer to be seen too, so I was a happy bunny!
Hard to choose between my main image and the one in extras, cheeky versus painterly?!

We ate our lunch sat on a bench watching the deer and the crows........the rain started just as we finished eating, so out came our waterproofs. It was very still, no wind at all....so the rain didn't bother us.

We headed into the gardens, still plenty of late summer colour around.......then we popped into the Stables for another small coffee ;-) before going back to the car, having clocked up over 11k steps.

Drove home, a lot more traffic on the roads now the schools are all back.....still only took us 30 mins, horrible drizzle by the time we got home, so the planned walk at 4 with some of my SW ladies wasnt looking overly appealing :-/

I got the various ingredients from the garage, fridge etc for our dinner, plus vegetables to make some soup, and enough for a fish pie too........put everything on the island in the kitchen to tackle later.

Sat down uploaded my images and started to edit, then noticed the rain had stopped, so a quick change of plan, grabbed my waterproof, changed into my walking shoes, with 10 minutes to spare, hurried off to meet up for our walk. Had to get a run on to catch up, but soon did.........an enjoyable hour or so, walking and chatting, saw my steps top 20k for the day.

Back home, vegetable soup done, cod, prawn & smoked salmon fish pie topped with mashed potato done for tomorrow for Wednesdays dinner.......then pan fried haddock, sweetcorn, courgettes with potatoes for dinner tonight.... before finally sitting down to relax for the evening.

Nothing like a busy day to pass the time ;-)
Hope you are all staying safe
