Over and under

The workers were very confused about Claire's description:
"Make two groups of 3 strands. Make the left strand under the second strand from left and make it to the 4th strand from right. Than take the right strand, make it under the second strand from right and make it to the 3rd strand from left. Continue this schema.....No, not this one, the other one, under the second and over the third....No, over, not under... It's such an easy pattern...."
Hm, I have my doubts.
