Just Ride

Want to see a dog in a trike? the Copenhagen long weekend back-blip starts here...

I had to finish with a cycling shot really. Need to go somewhere in Copenhagen or the surrounding area? Just hop on your bike and ride. And while the weather in this shot looks perfect for cycling (though believe me, it's still cold!) we saw people riding in wind and rain and hail on this journey, always just as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

This was a brilliant trip, finished off with a trip on the metro out of the city (on a local tip) to see a new area being built up. All very odd, since it's quite quiet, and there was certainly some odd architecture on show, but we especially liked these triangular balconies. Back in the city we wandered in the sun, snapping the usual touristy stuff, winding up in the National Museum (during which time the weather closed back in).

Oh, and ate 'gourmet' hotdogs (the Danes LOVE their hotdogs, and this was simply superb). We had a couple of hours to kill in the afternoon before fetching the bag for the airport, so looked out for colour in houses and bikes, before bidding farewell to the hotel (and seeing yet more evidence of the Danish bike culture in the airport).

Home, tired, happy there's no work on Monday, and wantign to put some ideas into practice. Such was our weekend.
