Mt Aspiring from Snow Farm

The snow is disappearing rapidly, but we still had a lovely few hours up at the Snow Farm today.

Last Thursday, 2 local men were skiing Mt Aspiring (yes, climbed it and skied down!!) when one fell 400 metres. He was rescued very quickly by our local volunteer search and rescue team, as the climber/skiers had a locator beacon. He survived the fall with only leg injuries. A very lucky escape!
Our Search and Rescue team are very experienced and do amazing voluntary work.
