Thomas

Wikipedia tells us that:
'Thomas is a common surname used by the British (primarily Welsh), French, German, Dutch, and Danish
It derives from the medieval personal name, of Biblical origin, meaning 'twin'. It was borne by one of the disciples of Christ, best known for his skepticism about Christ's resurrection [Doubting Thomas] (John 20:24-29).
The th- spelling in English results from the initial letter of the name in the being a theta.'

There have been many famous Thomas' including:
Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, Thomas More and Thomas the Tank Engine.

This however is Thomas Street one of Bath's many steeply sloping residential areas.
