The lighthouse on the Farne Islands

This group of islands is just off the coast from Seahouses in Northumberland. They are well known as a bird sanctuary and around April there are literally thousands of Puffin that nest in the burrows here, also terns who become very territorial and people are warned to wear hard hats when going out on one of the many quick boat trips will take you out to the islands.
When the breeding season is over and the birds have flown seals have the islands almost to themselves.

Boats still go out at the moment but you can't land due to Covd 19 although quite why not l don't understand. As far as l am aware birds don't get Covid 19.
