FIVE...

... she’s only been counting down the days for the last two weeks, so today it finally arrived! My daughter, son-in-law & the girls came over about 6 pm. We were going to have the celebration outside, but it’s cold & rainy so we were masked and stayed mostly in the basement while Tom stayed upstairs. He DID watch her open her gifts & then we came upstairs to sing Happy Birthday, as Tom said he didn’t want to miss “the important stuff”. Mae was totally wound up with excitement! She loves flan, so Jennie makes one for her b-day each year instead of cake, & Mae was beyond thrilled with her sparkly pink #5 candle! No sooner had we finished the flan when the twins & their parents face-timed us so they could wish Mae a happy birthday. She went home tired out but happy. :))
