Cycled over early. Meant to go down Palm Drive West and Quarry Road, was diverted here by road work. Won't try Quarry Road again - it's a major throughfair, and there are more pleasant paths. No coffee stop. 

Temperature and smoke level significantly improved.  32C in the late afternoon.  There's a big new fire, though, sending high smoke haze. #Buttefire   Adding extra screenshot of the smoke from GOES-17 , morning of 9th.
