Dryad’s Saddle

The largest mushroom in the UK .Not sure if this is so in Germany but across from my flat I discovered these beauties growing from a tree.In the main it looks rather like four plates. First extra my pal kindly placed her hand so you get an idea of size .The second extra shows others growing on the tree and the beautiful markings. It is edible ..Can be pickled , turned into mushroom stock or used in a fruit salad . It does smell like watermelon ..Oddly enough there are mushrooms tonight but this is not included .If you want to see more images look up
