Autumn is here
When I opened the curtains this morning I knew autumn was unmistakably here. There was a change in the look of the world. This is no disaster as autumn is often beautiful and the summer activity of swimming in warm lake water ended a while back as the chilly nights returned.
However, a few summer signs remain. Some flowers are still blooming, albeit looking a little tatty, and there are still a few bees working at collecting the last nectar of this departing summer.
We have been busy with end-of-summer garden jobs and with clearing out Betty's veranda, (see extra) which is due for a major make-over, starting with demolition!
