Old Friends

An early morning call saw me doing an extra shift at Abergynolwyn Cafe on what turned into a beautiful day.  A little galling as I had planned a day of garden and blackberrying but it was a fun day anyway and needs must .....

Good to see two friends working on the train today.   L, guarding and PC, fireman are both good friends to Ruth and I've known them a few years now.  L started working on the railway at 14, same time as Ruth.   Good heavens!  That'll be a decade ago next year!   She's both guard and fireman but also now working full time so not able to get here as often.   She works in aerospace as an engineer.  PC is an optician.   The railway is lucky to have so many talented folk among it's crew.
