Ardvreck Castle..

Situated on a small island in Loch Assynt, and connected by a small tombolo. This is one of the iconic images of NW Sutherland.

We pass by on our way to Ullapool, our nearest town, and 50 miles away. I needed to get some Cuprinol to treat the wood for the raised beds in the poly-tunnel, and we did a large shop too. Also an excuse for a meal out. I had crab claws, and G had the venison burger and chips. Oh, and a pint of the local An Teallach Ale..
