Honey and the oak tree.

So Darren took us to Wortley Hall this evening. He’d needed to go shopping at the Fox valley retail park in Stocksbridge so decided to call in here on the way back home. I do like it here, there are little woods to go running through, but also patches of grass to do a bit of running and rolling.
This Oak tree is very old, between 350 and 500 years, it used to be in a deer park before Wortley Hall was built. It’s Girth is 23 ft and despite the fact it’s been damaged over the years it’s still alive and healthy.
