Oh Dear Daffodilly !

The flower shop in Peebles was getting ready for Valentines Day. Just shelved around the corner were some bulbs including this forlorn daffodil, the cold must have got to it.
I read in the Daily Telegraph Gardening supplement that 25,000 workers in Kenya are picking roses for Valentine Bouquets, perhaps 1 million roses!
Roses flower all the year round in Kenya.
The road to Nairobi Airport is asphalted smooth and flat so as not to bruise the flowers in transport.
Today just 10% of flowers we buy are grown in this country
