No longer dry

After the rain of the last two days, the river is no longer a trickle.  However, it is still far from being in spate when it can look and sound quite frightening.  We had our liaison committee meeting with the council this morning which went well. It remains to be seen whether we get more support for the upkeep and improvement of the church building from the newly returned administration. I had time before lunch to nip into town and sort out a question with the tax office and then in the afternoon to go out for a walk around a village circuit.
