Learning the ropes at the Royal Opera House

Today was the first day back at work after three weeks leave. I have spent today going through the email backlog and I went for lunch at the Royal Opera House (I usually just grab a sandwich but am still in a holiday frame of mind...which is a good thing). It wasn't very busy at the Opera House, there were a few school groups in for the afternoon performance of Swan Lake and a handful of others. It was quite nice seeing all the catering and bar preparation behind the scenes, there was a guy folding a few hundred napkins, another wiping a few hundred glasses with a glass cloth and this lot having a lesson in bar skills.
