Magnolia

Magnolias have been a favourite subject of antipodean blippers lately. They've had a great season in Sydney, as usual, and I love them at all stages, from bud to their last. By the time they're on their way out they have so much character, having been bashed about by rain and wind and wilted by the odd hot day.

This one has been through all of this and is being nudged out by new foliage. It's an unusual deep red/purple colour too, the only one I've seen around here.
