Solace Day 1 Away We Go

With the household bubble aboard of The Man, The Mate and myself we set of for our adventure aboard the narrowboat Solace. #2 Daughter and her partner should have been joining us but made the decision not to risk mixing with us more vulnerable folk in such a confined space.

The journey was pleasantly uneventful and we arrived in Great Haywood about 2ish, loaded the boat up and were onto the Trent & Mersey canal at 3ish. The boat had been painted this winter and is a delightful blue colour. We won't recognise ourselves, especially as the pandemic halted work on the signwriting!
