Kew Pagoda...still closed
The fifth of the quilt squares I have blipped this week and my favourite . This is a very detailed and elaborate square. A very good observation from someone who lives near Kew Gardens. It also has ‘jewels’ attached!
I think the notice was very pertinent back in May but sadly is going to be relevant for quite a long time I think. Yesterday I went to Painshill Park in Cobham and although the Park is open all the buildings there eg the tower and the grotto are still closed as they are quite small and people would be near each other inside.
A friend will be making up the quilt and doing some edging and the backing in the next couple of weeks. Then it will be going on display in the Museum of Richmond we think. I will do a blip of the finished quilt, probably in October. The Museum is very small and at present is only open for a few people at a time with pre-booked appointments.
