In Her Hand

Rainey is a sculpture in our yard that I love. She reaches skyward, beseeching the Goddess to send gentle rains to the earth. Sadly her right arm broke off long ago and repairs have continually been attempted by C. We thought the last repair was holding rather well until I noticed a couple of days ago that she was, once again, single-armed. She's made of a type of resin that doesn't take well to glues and the arm is rather heavy so...back to the repair bench she goes. Her currently altered condition, however, has not fazed Ms. Brown Anole, who's happy to have Rainey's left hand to rest on.
