Scarecrow

After two hours of research meetings with PhD students M and J, I spent two hours being informed about a role I've filled for years in order to learn the very little that has changed since last year. Then it was more administrative work, as the applicants I've recruited continue their metamorphosis into matriculated students.

The weather was looking threatening, so I took Django out earlier than usual. The barley field has now been replanted, and there's a real scarecrow. I've seen better "festival scarecrows" in recent Blips, but at least the hi-vis jacket means that the birds can see him from a long way off!

Meanwhile, yesterday's mushroom has opened out, and is now a more traditional shape! [See extra]
