When I was 3 years old, my grandfather used to read Spanish poems and stories to me from a book: Otros Amigos, Otros Culturas. He would then fall asleep on the couch and I would pinch his large nose to wake him up. *** Found a photo of him with my Ma but choosing to feature a photo of Lola Gomer (his sister) instead wearing a Filipiniana printed on Kodak paper. ***We have lost a lot of photos because of fire and humid weather here so creating digital backups of remaining prints has been one of my projects since the pandemic.
