Empty Nest
Jacqui returned to her home on the beach, now the summer is over and her renters have all gone. She has been here for the past six weeks.
Duke has gone too, as it's the weekend. He will enjoy a change of scene.
The flat seems very empty with just me in residence once more. I find myself talking out loud and then realising that there is no one to hear me.
I keep on talking, none-the-less.
Still, I have watched Camel in concert at the Royal Albert Hall (it is just over two years since I saw them in Jerez), followed by Marillion at the same venue and I shall sleep in the middle of the bed tonight.
Or even diagonally across it.
Life does have some compensations.
