Masked Madrid meanderings

Today’s blip is of me at Martin at El Retiro in the centre of the city. The park is stunning with many sculptures, a beautiful glasshouse, as well as the lake behind us.

We have had a wonderful few days here, and the city is absolutely beautiful. Having to wear masks everywhere in 90 degree heat, while not ideal, has not impacted on our enjoyment. Virtually everybody, including children, are wearing them. It’s seems fewer people here than back home in Scotland have developed asthma, and they realise how important a public health issue this is. Maybe this is the next step for the UK to stem the spike that seems to be happening. 

Another evening in Madrid to go, before heading back tomorrow afternoon.
