Sixty Not Out

Fatal to pull out a picnic rug and goodies when the weather is looking nice and you find a nice spot. That was the case today as we paused by the side of the River Wharfe at Starbotton after a pint in the Fox & Hounds and mid way through our circular walk. The rain started as the picture was taken and didn’t stop, prompting a quick exit!

This was the pared-down 60th birthday party for yours truly with pictured support bubble of Keith & Paula, Jay and Mrs B. This two-day stopover is part of a week-long celebratory road trip to see my friends individually house-by-house. Well: “If the mountain won’t come to Mohammed....”

Our booked cottage for 26 people in Kettlewell is put on ice for next year!
