Tirling Pin!

A morning of wild heavy rain and blowing a hoolie!
Drove over to meet a guiding friend at Kellie Castle bear Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife , as tourist guides we are used to being out in all weathers! We were dressed for the weather!
I hadn’t visited this castle previously it’s in the hands of NTS for Scotland, castle isn’t open the gardens are ...... very interesting collection of flowers, bushes, vegetables , really enjoyed visiting, the castle itself is dated back to 14thc & restored in 19thc
We then drove further east to Cambo Gardens on the coast, I haven’t visited for about 10 years!
Another hidden gem ...... lunch in the courtyard was sooo good! We set off after eating into the walled garden , well organised for COVID , by this time the sun appeared and blue skies! A different kind of day indeed!
Such a variety of plants, flowers, fruit trees, vegetables, bushes etc Apple trees are laden with fruit!
We followed the woodland walk signs to approach the beach! Passed golfers on the Kingsbarns course, the tide was out when we arrived on the sand, what do we do when we goto the seaside..... take socks and shoes off and paddle! Ooooh it was so good! Water was warmer than I had expected this is the North Sea after all!

If I could post extras I would show the gardens ! It’s a must to visit if in the area!

My blip is the old door at Kellie with a tirling pin which was what the visitor used to announce their arrival at the door , the predecessor to the door knocker or bell!

A grand day!
