Dusk

It wasn't until I looked at this large on my laptop that I spotted that the sky is full of insects (more visible if you go large and get the black background). That was heartening, having just watched David Attenborough's excellent, measured Extinction: the Facts on TV this evening. But however many small creatures with wings my camera lens sees, he's right about our insane destruction of species. All the rest then ourselves.

Until it was too dark to see I was outside in the warmth. With a bit of luck this week's promised sun will ripen the remaining tomatoes faster than the blight eats them. We'll see.
