Rifle CO - next progect

Yesterday and today I fixed  a goober - my fault.  Tried to recycle switch motors from old layouts when I built this one.  Used the old motors for all of the N scale turnouts.  Now they are failing or just not working well.  Duh.  Most were purchased 35 years ago!  What was I thinking?  SO I am replacing each one with a NEW circuitron switch motor.  They work well with my DCC system and provide switched power to the turnout frogs so no dead track.  

All has to be done under the table and given the way I did the original motors - not a slam dunk.  Surgery required on the styrofoam base.  But I have 7 done and just ordered a 12 more.  Lesson learned.  52 total. Ugg.

So in-between switch motor replacement, I will work on the last building in Rifle - a large lumber plant.  I copied the plan and colored it blue/green so I would know where it will go.  Neat project.  Also will have a log pond.  So between the re-motoring turnouts and this project, I postponed making trees with Scenic Express armatures.  But when the lumber yard is complete I will need MANY trees as you can see so that will be the final scenery work on the west end of the railroad.  Whew.
