A Ghost Sign

No, not a sign of a ghost!

The modern paint on this building has peeled away (or been cleaned away) to reveal an old commercial sign.

I can clearly read "McARTHUR'S" but not what is below it, so I resorted to Google.

I discovered that in 1903, these premises at Harbour Place, Burntisland were owned by a William N McArthur, Spirit Dealer. (No, I don't think he dealt in ghost sales.)
I also discovered that in the same year, a William McArthur lived at Kirkbank, Burntisland. Presumably the same man.
