THE STEPS TO TRINITY SQUARE

Today I ventured a bit further afield.  I got the bus to Gateshead.  First time I have been there to shop since March.  ( I did pass through it a couple of weeks ago on my way to a blipmeet but didn't linger to do any shopping ). Today I went into the big Tesco, Iceland and Poundland. Shops were fairly quiet.  I picked a Monday to go as I thought it would be the quietest day.   My blip shot shows the steps which lead to Trinity Square.  The Vue cinema is on the left and Tesco is on the right.  There are 44 steps to climb.  Before social distancing kicked in you could go up/down either side.  Now there are markings to tell you to go up the left hand side only.  This blip is for the Mono Monday challenge hosted by SueJay50- the theme is UP and DOWN

The weather today was actually warm.  Warm enough not to need a jacket.  Lets hope we are going to get a few more days of the same.

The Boston marathon was due to take place as usual in April but of course it was cancelled.  The organisers decided to have a virtual marathon and this took place between 5th Sept and 14th September.  Participants could run their own marathon anywhere in the world on any of those days. Today Becky and Mike did their virtual Boston Marathon - in Brighton.  Weather was very hot so that made it tough and it wasn't easy having no crowds to cheer them on but  they did it. Well done to them.
