Pancake Day
Tonight I took R and C to our church pancake supper. Being a commuter and under 65, we arrived quite a bit after the dinner rush and alas there was no ham or salad left. However the lovely men in the kitchen did whip us up a few fresh pancakes and there was lots of fruit left which the kids love. Perhaps not the most well-rounded meal, but it's only once a year. After dinner we were entertained by the Hamilton-Halton Chinese choir which was really quite something. They sang entirely in Chinese, but some of the tunes were traditional and others were Western. You haven't heard Danny Boy until you've heard it in Chinese. It was really quite good.
I'm feeling a bit poorly this evening and hope to shuffle off to bed early and hopefully will actually sleep.
