Chalky
As the weather promised to be very hot today, we decided to walk the last part of the South West Coast path from Swanage to South Haven Point by the chain ferry. For good measure, we walked back as well by a slightly different route. We managed to fit in a paddle. It would have been a swim but the water was so shallow, I didn’t manage to cover more than my waist while standing up and that was after walking over a sand bar. We covered 16 miles today so felt quite weary by the time we returned to our cottage at 7.30. We are going to have a day off from distance walking tomorrow to give our legs a rest. The main blip shows the Old Harry rocks from a different angle than they are normally seen. The first extra is the sun shining on the east end of Swanage beach and the second extra shows the view looking towards Bournemouth from Ballard’s Down.
