Through the window

It now 4:00 and there is no rain, smoke is still as thick, cannot see far, air quality still hazardous.  The forecast has changed and maybe Thursday or Friday we will see rain.  I do think it was less yellow/orange today and brighter, not as dark.  I spent the morning in the kitchen preparing chili, hummus, bread dough, and laying out everything for a pasta dish.  I sat with the camera looking through the window for a bird shot, but just nothing good with the smoke and window glass.  A red winged black bird showed up so maybe they are returning.
