men, boys and the women's movement...eww

The boys had a great time with their Papas this weekend.

Ezra found dead animal bones that he brought home and informed me they are the beginnings of his newest collection. Yea. He showed me his war wounds which mostly consistent of cactus pricks. While sitting on the back of a truck throwing feed they hit a bump and Ezra popped right off...and into a cactus patch. It was muggy, rainy, and cold. They didn't see any live animals (other than cows), and came home smelly and with clothes covered in mud. After all of this, and for reasons that are beyond me, they enjoyed their return to nature. I'm very happy that Ezra has his Daddy to take him on these adventures!

One of the negative effects of the feminism movement is a society that does not value the man's role in the family dynamic. "We Can Do It" images and attitudes prevailed over Norman Rockwell's Family Tree. While I agree, women "can do it", we can do it much better with men to compliment us...and vise versa.
