Running route with a hint of danger

This is the train track I cross to get to the beach where I regularly run. A slight bend in both directions mean that I stop and carefully listen, before I scamper across.

Now I learn that are no trains. None.

It ought to have been obvious, as the track crosses the road close to the centre of Capitola, right before a stop sign. I've driven by there almost daily, and taken my turn to pull up at the stop sign, on the tracks. Interesting that the power of the group means I've not thought twice about that.

But on my own, on foot..... that still feels a bit dangerous.
