newly glazed
I was moderately pleased that my new glaze mixture works quite nicely. I used some xanthan gum, instead of the much more expensive commercial stuff. It keeps the particles in suspension and an even coat can be applied before the last uneven coat :-) The copper and cobalt showed through quite nicely. These were also fired at a much higher temperature. The carafe/bottle is maybe a bit heavy but takes well over a bottle of wine. The latest teapot will be next.
Started pulling down the horrible ceiling in the pigshed/workshop today. I also swilled a few areas with hydrogen peroxide in the hopes of reducing the unhealthy fungus which hangs in the damp air.
Excellent boletus mushroom omelette for lunch.
