Royal Terns

It was very cool and quite breezy at the beach this morning. We went to the end where there are parking lots and - during the season - lifeguards. Which meant I got to see a huge gang of royal terns. For some reason they're always at the south end of the island, at Tom's Cove - never further north where we usually go via the bike path. The terns are all facing into the wind. As you do.
