Snowshill Manor...
Our first visit of the day. This National Trust property was once the home of Charles Wade, “ a profoundly creative man. As an architect, artist, poet, craftsman and collector, his sense of energy and fun led him to find theartricality and delight in object and place.”
In better times we could have seen his collection of almost anything and everything, but today we thoroughly enjoyed the gardens of this home on another beautiful day in the Cotswolds.
We then had a happy return to Broadway which was so peaceful today. It has been “swarming” this summer, so we were told.
The village of Stanton and The Mount Inn for dinner this evening was perfect. We hadn’t booked but they gave us a table in the gazebo and we watched the sun set over the village as we began the drive home.
