Hartland Quay
I had a lovely day today. As my husband was out on a bike ride with a friend starting from Barnstaple I decided to come along for the ride and do some local photography. After contacting fellow blippers Suejay50 and Terrifo for some locations they both agreed to come along at short notice. We started the day in true blip fashion with coffee and cake, thanks Terri and watched as the sky darkened and it began to rain. After yesterdays brilliant sunshine we all expected a similar day and hadn't brought any waterproofs. Fortunately the rain eased as we drove to Hartland Quay and we clambered around the rocks and pathways taking shots of the magnificent geological outcrops, the waves and watched as the sea mist descended. After this we headed to Westward Ho for crab sandwiches and a quick view of the misty sea. Next was Appledore where the sea mist was also drifting in and out. We wandered along the sea front and the quaint narrow streets behind before heading to the Hockings ice cream van, where we all enjoyed this recommended treat. It was a great day out and good to chat up with two blip friends.
