All you need is...
...LOVE. A warm, humid day, and I decided against going up to the Common - it's popular with locals and tourists alike, and would most likely be teeming with people. Instead, walked down to the river, hoping that the heron would be by the weir. It wasn't, but spotted this woven in to the fence round the site where the distillery is to be built.
MrM left early this morning for another day's fishing - yes, the second in a week. I had a productive day, structured around my flu jab which was scheduled for 4.09pm. Arrived slightly early and was in and out of the surgery within 2 minutes, before the very precise appointment time - all very efficient! (Matt Hancock's obviously not organising flu jabs!)
Apart from that, wallpaper stripping and experimental cooking (not at the same time!) filled most of the day.
We now eat very little meat, and I've been meaning to make a lentil 'shepherds pie' for ages. My mission was to make one with some texture. Today's effort with red lentils, green lentils and chopped mixed nuts worked reasonably well, but there's room for improvement yet...
