Canal and countryside.

Feast Day of St. Cornelius and St. Cyprian. St Edith and St. Geminianus. It is cool and cloudy with a strong wind.20c. Arthur our cat, prefers this weather to the humidity. We are having to brush him twice a day to keep his fur from tufting.
Paul and me went for a pleasant stroll by the Leeds Liverpool canal and then along a countryside path beside the old railway line. The horses from Norden Riding School were grazing in the nearby field. We did not go too close. There were various ducks and other birds on the canal, but no sign of the swans. The leaves on the Oak trees are beginning to turn yellow. We found but didn't pick some brambles, growing in the wild.
Our old faithful Cooks Espresso machine has stopped working and we hope to buy one to replace it, probably with our vouchers from Tesco.
