.. have included a low-flying Spitfire but, according to the Hexham Courant:

The flight of a lone Spitfire over the district's hospitals has been amended.


The World War Two fighter was due to fly over Hexham General Hospital at 2.34pm, and Haltwhistle War Memorial Hospital at 2.39pm. 

However, the flightpath has been altered due to bad weather. It will no longer pass over Hexham, but will be over Haltwhistle at 3:49pm.


There was a small group of very disappointed photographers stationed below Oakwood :-(
