Fall is coming
The MK Nature Center in Boise is operated by the Idaho Fish & Game and includes a wildflower/native plant garden, a salmon stream with waterfall and below-water viewports, a duck pond, walking paths, and visitor center. It's right along the Boise River and is a great place for hanging out, looking at wildlife (mostly birds, but there are beaver, skunk, mink, muskrat), photographing plants and flowers, learning about wildlife habitat and ecology, and just hanging out in a very nice setting.
