Ferns and holly in darkness
Welcome to the Stroopie Road, one of our regular walks. We start in cornfields, pass through airy woods, descend a picturesque, cobbled path, all of which I have blipped often.
Them we turn left onto the Stroopie Road, now just a path, but originally a key thoroughfare from the days before cars, tar macadam and the modern road network.
What struck me today was the tree-shrouded darkness after the brightness of the day, and the depth of colour resulting. Actually I had to adjust the colour to get the photo back to what I had seen. The camera had "corrected" it to deliver the brightness some software developer had assumed I would want. Wrong!
