Meeting Day

And a special one at that; 50 years ago we met in Stockholm. We've celebrated this day every year. This year we had all sorts of ideas, some sidelined by Covid, and most recently by the wildfires and smoke. After much pondering we decided to drive to the coast, seemingly the most hopeful place to escape the smoke. We spent the afternoon at the Cape Disappointment State park, and were not disappointed. The beach was pleasant, and the air there so much better than inland. After dinner in Astoria we nearly saw the sunset, that's in the extra.
