LD 178 No visible means of support

Walking up to work this morning I was amazed by this - a little leaf, whirling away and moving backwards and forwards in front of me without any visible means of support.

When I looked closely I could just see the finest thread, presumably of spider's web, but why or how  it had attached like this I did not know.

An hour later it was still there, but by the end of the day it had been either eaten, removed or blown somewhere else.  

It was hard to get an image and harder still to decide how to make it understandable as well as photographic.   This is my best attempt, after several....
