Summer snake
In Spanish we use the expression 'serpiente de verano'- summer snake- for all these silly stories that are published in the press or mentioned in the news usually in summer when they have nothing interesting to say.
Now that I think about it, this may come from the story of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, who used to appear in the summer. Maybe that was the beginning of our 'summer snake'.
I don't know, but I'd just like to show you our very own 'summer snake': the plastic pipe that Pedro uses to clean the pool!
