Not Clear

The aim was good, but the execution sadly lacking. I tried to capture the colour of the sun with a short exposure and combine it with one for the ambient light. Unfortunately the sun moved and changed size and trying to balance the light to look natural was tricky. The main shot was a long exposure to smooth the water and get some reflection of the setting sun, which of course blurs the reeds. The exposures were 3 stops apart.

But I did capture the colour of the sun and hazy sky, presumably from the wild fires. Although, I did take a similar shot on another occasion.

Perhaps if my editing skills improve I can revisit it, but was it really worthwhile?
