Day 2 of being a dog owner

Highs - the cuddles and sense of pride when he does his business in the garden

Lies - lying in bed listening to the crying when he was lonely in the night. Felt very hard hearted.

I had the 4am shift and he wasn’t too happy at going back in his cage. Miss PHL heard his cries and assumed I’d slept through so the poor wee man was taken out again and then howled at being left alone. Eventually got up just after 6 and ge was so pleased to see us!

Several trips to the garden today and we managed to convince him that his cage isn’t scary so hopefully less crying tonight.

Zoom call with the girls tonight in lieu of the meal out we postponed following the latest Scottish rule change - so nice to chat but will be much better when we can meet in person.

Doing the 4am shift again in the morning so in bed for 11.
