Seed was planted on April 3rd and today two combines have taken advantage of the fine weather to harvest the wheat.   Now the straw has all been baled and stacked for collection at the top of the field.  Three years ago the wheat was cropped almost five weeks earlier and last year the oats were harvested 24 days earlier and this year has been the latest harvest.  I suppose it partly depends upon the availability of the contractors as well as the state of the crop.  The extra shows the grain being unloaded onto a trailer and a baler ejecting rectangular bales.
